New Bee Design!
Bee’s gotten a new and improved look for 2014, courtesy of designer Becky Dreistadt and clean-up artist Cory Holmes.
Sooooo… what do you think?
I had no idea the design could get even worse.
There’s a saying: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” It seems they heard “Do whatever you want. You already got the Kickstarter money anyway”.
Y’know, I was just talking about the irrational hatred of change and sense of entitlement people have over a project once they’ve contributed to it on Kickstarter with someone yesterday. Thanks for providing a great practical example of that phenomenon in action.
They wrote “Sooooo… what do you think?” and I responded with what I thought. It has nothing to do with hatred or entitlement.
The Kickstarter comment might have been a little uncalled-for, but from what I’ve read in the comments it seems I’m not the only one who feels that way and thinks the redesign is completely unnecessary.
But “what you think” amounts to “how dare they change things now that they have kickstarter money! I wanted the original! I think it was better and changing things is a waste of time!” Which is… exactly what I and the other Tumblr user were talking about, so… yeah.
Dude, they paid for what they saw in the original, so if they’re pissed about this change being announced after giving their own money they have all the right to be upset. Also it’s not about, “oh I hate change” it’s about “I don’t like this change”. And honestly YES if someone pays for something they have SOME entitlement that’s a freaking given, you and a hundred other people pay some builders to build a building and you don’t like the windows, you have a right to be pissed of.
